What we keep, and why.

Who we are

SynthDyne is an engineering company in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, trading under Dubai DET mainland licence No. 1556641. We run synthdyne.com. For anything in this notice, write to info@synthdyne.com.

What we collect, and when

Only what you give us, and a little about how the site is used.

• Your STL. Nothing. The wind tunnel on the homepage reads and solves it in your browser, on your machine. It is never uploaded and we never see it.
• The contact form. Your work email, what you write, the page you sent it from, and the time.
• Signing up for the wind tunnel. Your name, work email, company, the time, and the page you were on.
• The sd_member cookie. Set when you sign up. It marks your browser as signed up so the tunnel stays unlocked, and it does nothing else. It lasts six months. Clear your browser's cookies for synthdyne.com to remove it; you can sign up again any time.
• Analytics. Cookieless page analytics: which pages are viewed, where a visit came from, browser, device type and country. No cookie is set and nothing follows you to other sites.
• Server logs. Our host keeps standard request logs, including IP addresses, for a short time, to run and protect the site.

Why

• To reply to you.
• To run the case you send and write back with the result.
• To tell you when early access opens, if you signed up.
• To run the site and keep it working.

Legal basis

Your consent, when you sign up and when we write to tell you that early access has opened. You can withdraw it at any time. Our legitimate interest, when we reply to what you send us and when we run and protect the site.

How long we keep it

• Messages and cases: until you ask us to delete them.
• Signup data: until early access closes, or until you ask, whichever comes first. We review the list once a year and delete what we no longer need.
• Analytics: kept as totals, with nothing that identifies you.
• Server logs: a short time, then gone.

Your rights

Ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Withdraw your consent. Write to info@synthdyne.com and a person replies, Sunday to Thursday.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your data. It goes only to the services that host the site and deliver our mail and notifications, which act on our instructions and on nothing else.

Children

This site is for working engineers and is not aimed at anyone under 18.
